Hello! I’m a professional visual designer, dot connector, and creative thinker. I use my training and experience to help companies and groups engage with their audiences. Together with my clients, I develop communication tools, learning materials, and promotional media for education, science, medicine, and technology. I have a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton. I’ve spoken about visual communication and design at the University of Washington, ComSciCon-PNW, the National Science Writers Association, Science Talk, Rochester Institute of Technology, SciVizNYC, The Association of Medical Illustrators, the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators, and Columbia University. I currently work as the staff Science Illustrator at Gladstone Institutes.
In my free time, I enjoy watching my 11 year old son perform amazing yo-yo tricks, training my Xoloitzcuintle-Dachshund, mentoring emerging illustrators and designers, volunteering, traveling, and cycling around Seattle.
